Just four miles north-west is the attractive fenland town of Spalding, famous for its abundance of tulips! There are a number of historic buildings, including four excellent museums in and around the town, a sports complex and an arts centre that stages concerts, theatre productions and film screenings.

Another fenland market town, with its numerous local shops, tea rooms and restaurants, Holbeach is in the opposite direction – just five miles north-east. There are two markets in Holbeach every week, and an additional Farmers Market once a month.
For those who wish to venture further than the market towns of Spalding and Holbeach, the bright lights of Peterborough are 25 minutes away and visitors can enjoy the superb arts, entertainment and shopping facilities on offer there, as well as a varied calendar of festivals and events.

There are several excellent nurseries, primary and secondary schools all within easy reach of Chapel Gate. These include Moulton Chapel Primary School, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, along with Spalding Academy also rated ‘Good’.
