The park and lake are next to the Woodhorn Museum; a former 19th-century coal mine which is now a museum and heritage centre for art and local history, as well as having an ever-changing contemporary arts and events programme.

Woodhorn Meadows has great access to the A189, linking you directly to Blyth and Cramlington. It also connects with the A19 for travel to Newcastle, Sunderland, and Middlesbrough. Morpeth train station is just a 15 minute drive from the development, with trains running to Newcastle, Edinburgh, and York.
